Established in 1951, Kamla Nehru Zoological Garden is situated in the outer periphery of Kankaria Lake and spread over an area of 31 acres.
More than 17 lakh visitors came visiting last year, and this number is only growing. Within its confines it houses some of the rare species in the animal and the bird kingdom. What sets it apart from other Zoological gardens is the personal touch by the devoted zoo The Kamla Nehru Zoological Garden was started with the purpose.
